Why?
ANY "Academic Core Course" will transfer between ANY public university or college. Problem is, TSTC does not recognize KINE as part of our Academic Core Curriculum. So it technically isn't part of our "basics". Therefore, UTB will not accept it into their programs. The University itself will give you credit for it, and it will transfer to the college, but only for credit or status purposes, not for graduation fulfillment.
You're going to have to take the course through whichever university you want to transfer to.
What if I have already taken it?
Alright, if you have already taken it, you may be spared. BUT, only if you have already been accepted into the university (UTB) and declared a particular program. If you fall into that category, you will be "grandfathered-in". If you have NOT been accepted into the university AND declared a major, you will not be able to use it. This applies so far to UTB that I am aware of, I'm assuming it will be the same for other universities once they catch wind that they can't allow the substitution or transfer.
As time passes, I'll be posting up new knowledge on the entire area.
