HB 269 Relating to course credit for certain students at a public institution of higher education
" HB 269 requires institutions of higher education to grant course credit to honorably discharged military veterans for any physical education course requirement and course credit for up to twelve non-major or minor elective hours. "
By submitting your DD-214 to the office of admissions, you will automatically recieve credit for KINE, or similar required course(s). The "up to 12 non-major or minor elective hours" is up to the institution itself. Which could mean there is some flexibility on which or how many courses may be substituted. Whether thats a good or ad thing...is another story. Keep in mind, you must have been honorably discharged.
Effective Date: Immediately.
